Mechanical Supply Company Inc. started business in 1955 in St. Louis, MO. The company operated two different mid-town locations until 1990. Our first branch store was opened in 1961 in Springfield, IL. We are currently operating from our third Springfield location at 2785 South 11th Street in a large modern building designed for our type of business. Our third location was opened in 1972 at 96 Weldon Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO. This was the first HVAC/R West County location in the St. Louis Metro Area. The store size was doubled in 1987 to stock a broader product offering to an expanding customer base. Our fourth store opened in Fairview Heights, IL in 1989 and was moved to a larger building at our present location 319 Centreville Avenue in Belleville, IL. This store serves a growing Metro East population and features commercial packaged heating and cooling equipment storage. Our fifth location was opened in 1996 to serve the fast growing Jefferson County and surrounding areas. The store was located at 1304 Commercial Blvd. in Herculaneum, MO. After 10 years of serving Jefferson County, the store was relocated to a larger, better designed building in order to accomomdate the growth of this area. The store is now located at 720 S. Mill St. in Festus, MO. Our sixth location was opened in 2007. The O'Fallon branch was added to serve an expanding population in the St. Charles county area. This branch is located at 827 W. Terra Lane in O'Fallon, MO. Mechanical Supply Company headquarters was relocated from St. Louis City to St. Louis County in 1986 to address additional warehouse requirements and better serve the population shift. This also serves as our distribution center replenishing all our branch stores weekly. The address is 919 Horan Drive, Fenton, MO. Each store has a manager who is responsible for all activities and personnel at their location. Regular managers meetings are held to address sales and operational issues and to improve overall productivity and customer service. Our style of business from inception has been wholesale selling to contractors, dealers, service organizations, industrial and institutional, government agencies, and others who are qualified to purchase at the wholesale level. The company management is dedicated to training and developing employees to the highest level possible, and through expanding operations, provide advancement for employees who acquire the skill and motivation demanded by the competitve nature of our business. Mechanical has been a member of HARDI, our trade association since beginning operation, and has been active in association affairs and programs. Mechanical is also a member of National Association of Credit Management, National Federation of Independent Business, Missouri Merchants and Manufacturers Association, The Air-Condtioing Contractors Association. Individual memberships are sponsored in American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, and NACM-St. Louis. We support our industry programs and encourage our employees to participate in industry exposure and training programs. Steady and sound growth has been experienced in our first 50 years of business. Today we enjoy a position as a leading wholesaler in the areas we serve. The company enjoys an enviable position both locally in our marketing areas and nationally with our suppliers as a quality and complete HVAC/R Supply House. It has established long and mutually beneficial relationships with many of our industry's most respected manufacturers.
